Patrick J. Brandle
March 24, 1943-April 11, 2023
ROCK ISLAND-Patrick J. Brandle, 80, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Silver Cross, Rock Island.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. The service will also be livestreamed at www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2023, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island Class of 1961 Scholarship Fund.
Patrick was born on March 24, 1943 in Rock Island, the son of Simon and Agnes (Aitken) Brandle. He married Maureen (Valentine) Dasso on October 19, 2001 in Rock Island. Patrick was an electrician for the IBEW Local 145 for 40 years and also worked as a Chief Deputy Clerk at the Rock Island County Clerk's office for 12 years. He enjoyed softball, baseball, and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Maureen Brandle; children, Wesley (Shirley) Howe, Stacie (David) Kintigh, Heather (Ken) Matzen, Angela (Todd) Williams, Ted Dasso, and Christine (David) Ciasto; grandchildren, Blair and Madison Howe, Michael Kintigh, Jacob Frederickson, Kaitlyn and Margaret Williams, Tom, Faith and Clare Dasso, and Abigail Ciasto; 2 great grandsons, Teegen and Laiken Dasso; and siblings, Christopher Brandle, Nick Brandle and Evelyn Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl "Fred" and John Brandle; and granddaughter, Meghan Howe.

So sorry, Mo, to hear of Patrick´s passing. I remember knowing Pat since he was a little kid hanging around Long View Park. He was a friend of my brother´s. He was a nice guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Grew up across the alley from the Brandle family when I was a kid. Tarz was a heck of a baseball catcher and was always willing to help me when I was starting to play baseball. Always a great guy and will surely be missed by everyone who new him!
