REYNOLDS-Graveside services for Paul J. Lloyd, 72 of Reynolds, will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Edgington Cemetery, Edgington, Illinois. Visitation is Friday, February 10th from 4 to 7 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the Rockridge FFA for Trade Scholarships or to the Autism Society of the Quad Cities. Condolences may be left at speerfuneralhome.com.
Paul died on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Country Manor Memory Care, Davenport, Iowa.
Paul John Lloyd was born on June 14, 1950, in Aledo, Illinois to John E. & Mary E. (Bistline) Lloyd. He was previously married to the former Diane Young.
Paul began his working career as a laborer/bricklayer and spent the majority of his working life as a Foreman with Seedorf Masonry, until he retired in 2016. He was a dedicated worker and enjoyed spending time with his work family. In his spare time, he worked too. In early years he enjoyed Mopar cars and Muscle car shows. Paul was known for his "Paulisms," - his notorious one liners.
Paul is survived by his children: Seth (Jackie Hauer) Lloyd and Angie Lloyd; grandchildren: Erik, Abbigale, & Chloe Matlick and Nathanial Paul Lloyd, Jr; and a sister: Ellen (David) Yancy as well as numerous, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and children: Nathanial and Michelle.
