Sherrill Ann Atwell, 79, of Geneseo, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at her home. A private graveside service for the family will be held at Annawan City Cemetery, Annawan, IL, at a later date. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society (https://donate3.cancer.org/).
Sherrill was born March 15, 1942, the daughter of Vernon and Margaret (DeSplinter) Williams, in Annawan, IL. She graduated from Annawan High School, class of 1966. She married Greg Nauyalis, Geneseo, they divorced. She married Roger Atwell, Geneseo, and they later divorced. She was employed at Boss Manufacturing for over twenty years doing clerical work. She later was employed in the housekeeping department of Geneseo Liberty Village. She enjoyed spending time doing yardwork, crossword puzzles, and golfing.
Those left to cherish her memory include children, Coreen Heller, Geneseo, and Monica Heady, Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Andrew Fuller, Madison Stiefel, Caleb Stiefel, and Nicholas Heady; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Payslie, Braylynn, and Evelyn; brother, Arden (Regina) Williams, Annawan, IL; sister, Myrna (Rick) Worgess, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Margaret; daughter, Melissa Nauyalis; and grandson, Brian Fuller.
