Shirley J. Williamson, 78, of Milan, passed away Friday July 26, 2024 at Generations of Rock Island.
Graveside services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday August 31, 2024 at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family.
Shirley was born on August 31, 1945 in Rock Island, the daughter of Everett Earl and Donna Marie (Gale) McKay. She married Charles "Chuck" Williamson on March 25, 1970 in Silvis.
Mrs. Williamson was a homemaker most of her adult life, raising two wonderful daughters. She also worked as a seamstress for local companies. She dedicated time to her family and friends and loved spending time with her cats. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Monica and Bob Scheer, Sarah and Matthew Lilius; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Chris, Colin, Elliot and Oliver. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles; parents, Everett McKay and Donna Morse; sister, Lorraine Potts.
