COLONA-Thomas "Tom" A. Feliksiak, 73, of Colona passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2023 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 12 noon Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to ARC of the Quad Cities.
Thomas was born July 16, 1949 in Rock Island, IL the son of Matthew and Maude (Tubbs) Feliksiak. Tom retired from John Deere as a Forklift Mechanic in 2005 after 35 years. He was currently serving as 3rd Ward Alderman in Colona. In his younger years he enjoyed stock car racing and bike racing. He also enjoyed motorcycles, working on cars, fishing and camping and was a NASCAR and Colts fan. Tom was proud to welcome back honor flight participants at the airport when they arrived home. He was happy to celebrate his sobriety of 30 years. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children Andrew (Heather) Feliksiak, Tracy (Mike) Buzea, Jaime (Tyson) Gregoire, Andrea (Mike Barber) Thurman, and Emily Hintze; grandchildren Courtney (Eric) Awalt, Lucy Buzea, Daisy Feliksiak, Cain Hargens, Leland Thurman, Audrey Gregoire, Addison Phillips, and Luna Barber; great grandchildren Adreanna, Owen, Wyatt, Zachery, and Negan; 1 great great grandson on the way; siblings Michael Feliksiak and Patrick (Linda) Feliksiak.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
