Robert L. Green was born June 4, 1943, in Tucumcari, NM, to the home of Carl "Buzz" and Thuringa (Bailey) Green, and passing from this life on November 11, 2021, in Logan, NM. He graduated from House High School in 1961. He spent most all of his adult life on the family farm up until 5 years ago when they moved to House, NM. For 27 years he worked for the state of NM at the Highway department in Ragland. Upon retirement, he enjoyed helping out the Lyons's for about 10 years on their ranch. He was always there to help out a friend or a neighbor. Robert enjoyed the company of his friends and family, but his real passion was hunting, be it deer, dove or coyotes, he could kill them all with a deadly accuracy that most people were surprised to see from a one eyed man.
On April 6, 1974 He married Jessie Taylor and together they raised 2 children.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Carl "Buzz" and Thuringa Green; Two sisters, Paulette Fine and Marcella Green and one brother Paul Green.
Robert is survived by his wife , Jessie, of the home, daughter, Wendy(Rodger) Grigsby, of House, NM, son, Jackie (Ira) Rainey, of Sparta, WI, a brother, Harvey (Sally) Green, of Albuquerque, NM, two sisters Caroline (Gary) Hight of Washington, and Belinda Thomas of Idaho. Eight grandchildren, four great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Robert L. Green will Monday, November 15, 2021 at 2pm at Browning Cemetery. Michael Terry is officiating. Pallbearers will be Craig Downey, Calvin Downey, Phil Lyons, Danny Dodd, Tedd Tatum, and Jimmie Joe Jester.

I was so sorry to hear of Robert's death. He spent many a night at our house playing cards and swapping stories with my parents (Harry and Nadine Downey). He will be missed.
