Rudy A. Pacheco died at age 77 September 15, 2021, in Tucumcari New Mexico after a long battle with cancer.
He was born to Margarita Montano Pacheco and Luis Pacheco of Tucumcari in 1944. He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and community. He will always be remembered for his caring compassion and his love of music. He was part of the man's basketball league. He served in the Army National Guard for many years during the Vietnam War. He played in numerous church choirs and bands in Tucumcari throughout his lifetime. He retired from the Department of Public Safety in 2007.
He is survived by one sister, Lucy Maestas; two nieces, Jane (Neno) Nunez and Margie Mackey; two brothers, Antonio (Lorraine) Pacheco and Frank (Lily) Pacheco.
He had three loving children, Luis (Sharon) Pacheco, Christina (Julio"Butch") Rivali of Tucumcari and Renea (Louis) Villanueva of Amarillo Texas.
He loved his grandchildren dearly, Luisa Pacheco, Raul Aragon, and Richard (Destiny) Aragon and the light of his life his great granddaughter, Amalia Ranea Aragon.
Grave site services will be held on October 1, 2021, at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery at 4161 Quay Rd 63, Tucumcari, New Mexico at 10:00 am all friends and family are welcome to come celebrate with us. Flowers and cards may be delivered to 501 S Dawson Ave, Tucumcari, NM.
