Alfred C. Martinez, 82, of Moline, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025_at St Mary's Church, Moline where he was a member. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials can be made to the family.
Alfred was born May 10, 1943 in Silvis, IL, the son of Stephen and Refriujo (Castello) Martinez. He married Marian Rodriguez on March 13, 1963 in Kansas City, MO.
He retired from International Harvester, East Moline Works on August 1, 2001 after 38 years of service as a member of UAW 1304.
Alfred was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears. He was a man of great faith who loved his family dearly.
Survivors include his wife, Marian; children, Virginia (Todd) Casel, Moline, Lisa Martinez, Moline, Christine Martinez, Moline and A.J. (Kassandra) Martinez, Rock Island; grandchildren, John Jr., Ethan, Andrew, Jake and Elizabeth; sister, Mary Ramirez, Sterling, IL and brother, Henry (Joyce) Martinez, Washington State. He was preceded in death by sisters, Rose, Rachel, Ruth, and brother Mike.
