DAVENPORT-Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Alyce M. Timmerman, 92, Davenport, will be 10:30am Monday, August 30, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-3:00pm at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with the Rosary recited at 3pm. Additional visitation will be Monday at church from 10am until the Mass time.
Mrs. Timmerman died Monday, August 23, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Alyce Marie Van Camp was born March 30, 1929 in Davenport to Charles and Agnes (O'Neill) Van Camp. She was united in marriage to Gerald L. Timmerman October 14, 1950 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport. He preceded her in death October 29, 2007 after 57 years of marriage and memories together.
Alyce began work at Brenton Bank November 15, 1965 as a part-time employee. She worked her way up to branch manager and later assistant vice-president. She retired in 1992 after 35 years of service.
She enjoyed volunteering with Genesis VNA Hospice and was deeply supportive of her husband's ministry.
Alyce enjoyed bowling and was part of both a ladies and mixed leagues, bowling multiple times a week in younger years.
Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Alyce is survived by her children: Judith (Gary) Allen, Christine (Jim Corbett) Nolan, all of Davenport; grandchildren: Michael (Jennifer), Jamie (Craig), Beth Ann (David), Scott (Heather), Stephany (Paul), and Colin (Emily); great-grandchildren: Garus, Jace, Lincoln, Gibson, Lily, Sullivan, Eli, Stella, and Piper; brother, Mike Van Camp of California, sister-in-law Marian Van Camp, Davenport brother-in-law Richard Timmerman, Davenport and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Mary Liguori Dixon, Charles Van Camp and sister-in-law Sue Van Camp.
