Bettendorf, Iowa - Ann Blair Campagna, 70, of Bettendorf, Iowa, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Illinois surrounded by her family.

Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at First Congregational Church, 2201 7th Avenue, Moline, Illinois, with Rev. Duane Lahti officiating. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Following burial, a funeral luncheon will be held at The Boardroom, 2220 37th Street, Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, or Augustana College.

The former Ann Blair was born to Dr. Robert Scott and Carolyn "Lee" (Tate) Blair on October 12, 1955, in Moline, Illinois.

At her request, we share the following words she wrote about her life:

I liked the idea of writing my own obituary because my life was rooted in simple, meaningful things. I loved my life and tried to live honorably and with purpose.

My family equals my love. I was born in 1955 in Moline to Scott and Lee Blair. My much-adored sister Sue and I had countless adventures at our home in Colona, summers on Lake Warren, and at our farm in DeWitt, Iowa. My 27-year marriage to Jeff Campagna in 1980 blessed my life with two daughters, Blair and Julie. Nothing has brought me more joy than being involved in their lives and the lives of my grandsons, Carsen and Trenten Williams. My love extended just as fully to my niece, Dr. Elizabeth Ranniger (husband Jacob) and nephew, Dr. Ryan Brandt (wife Madison), who I cherished as my own.

Graduating from Augustana was the launch of my 31-year career in teaching which I was blessed to have begun in Geneseo and continued at Roosevelt Elementary in Moline. The first day of kindergarten each fall was an exciting gift filled with wide-eyed, hopeful, eager children at my classroom door. Each day I worked to give my students a love of learning coupled with sprinkles of fun, laughter, and independence.

The steady love and companionship of friends Linda & Jim Roeder, Martin Kurtz, Mary Pat Hallstrom, and many others sustained me through every season. The memories we made and the adventures we shared added richness, laughter, and meaning to my days. I cherished every heartfelt conversation, each gesture of kindness, and the unwavering support they offered through life's joys and challenges.

I was able to live beyond expectations due to my amazing doctors: Dr. Stewart Garneau, Moline, and Dr. George Simon, Houston, and their exceptional staff. I cherished every day, every hour, and every minute. My plan was to always show love, be kind, and give thanks.

Survivors include her daughters, Blair Williams of Bettendorf, and Julie Hanson and husband Pieter of Coal Valley, Illinois; her grandsons, Carsen and Trenten Williams of Bettendorf; and her sister, Susan Brandt and husband Michael of Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog, Scout.

We visited with Ann sometimes when she came to DeWitt to enjoy time on the farm. We live next door to the farm. Ann was a very special lady, always positive, caring and helpful. She will be greatly missed.

May her memory be a blessing

Ann was a kind, caring and dedicated teacher. Our son Sean had her for two years, Kindg. and first grade. We thank her for those years. We continued to see her as Blair and Julie were in the same grades. We are saddened by her passing and send our love to her family.

As an almost 50 year old, Mrs. Campagna was my kindergarten teacher and she was my favorite teacher. I´ve thought about her throughout my life and it brings me peace to know she had a life as beautiful as she was. Bon voyage.

Ann & I trained together years ago for a half marathon. She was a lot of fun. One month before the half marathon, Ann told me she was going to switch and run a full marathon. I was impressed and Ann did it! I had always heard Ann was a wonderful teacher. After getting to know Ann better during our training runs, I could easily see why she was a wonderful teacher and lady.
