Anna Mae (Lane) Young

Anna Mae (Lane) Young of Aurora, IL, and formerly Durant, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the age of 95. She was born on October 27, 1926 in Mercer, Missouri. Anna was married to Robert Young on March 22, 1947 in Olathe, Kansas. They began their lives together in Davenport, Iowa and later moved to Durant, Iowa where they resided for many years. Anna worked for many years at Bendix/Litton Industries in Davenport and retired at age 61 to travel with Bob. They enjoyed many trips in the western states. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, and her family was very important to her. While living in Durant, she attended First Presbyterian Church in Wilton.
Anna is survived by her children, Phillip (Marlys) Young, Bristol, IL, Patricia (Lynn) Paustian, Ankeny, Iowa and Robert Young, Urbandale, Iowa; grandchildren Christopher Young, Bristol, IL; Andrew Young, Plano, IL; Melissa (Jeff) Conner, Waukee, Iowa; Michael Paustian, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Laura (Cedric) Tarkelly, North Liberty, Iowa; Tom (Punitha) Paustian, Plymouth, Minnesota; Michael (Melissa) Young, Medford, MA, and Katie (Brian) Mastrangeli of Rockford, IL; 8 great-grandchildren, Zachary Paustian, Tyler Mason, Sam Mason, Will Mason, Kathan Paustian, Aravan Paustian, Revathi Anna Paustian, Arlo Mastrangeli and Whitney Young; sisters Mary Arnold and Francis (Harley) Wahl; and a brother Joe (Linda).
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert on November 1, 1996, parents Ned and Fern Lane, brothers Frank, Bill, Jim, Harold, Herb and Bob; and sisters Kate Berger, Janet Elsey, June Shocky
Services are 2:00PM Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Runge Mortuary, 838 E. Kimberly Rd., Davenport, Iowa 52807. Visitation will be 12:00pm till 2:00pm Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials to Durant Ambulance.
Regarding Covid-19, while inside, please wear a mask in consideration of others.

Phil, Marlys, Chris, Andy and the Young families,
My deepest sympathies to all of you. I remember Ann, sweet and kind. She wrote me the nicest letters over the years, I still have them.
