DAVENPORT-Memorial services for Arnold D. Lindaman, 85, of Davenport, will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge, Iowa. The family request that masks be worn at all times. Family will greet friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Joy Cemetery, Parkview, Iowa at a later date.
Arnold passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Arnold was born on Sunday, September 27, 1936 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Jacob and Esther (Oelmann) Lindaman. He married Lois Jane Peltz on October 5, 1963 in New Hampton, Iowa. He received his Bachelor's degree at University of Dubuque, master's degree at the University of Iowa and PhD at Iowa State University. Arnold worked as a lifelong educator for 50 years, retiring in 2003.
He was a member of the North Scott Rotary, Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), National Education Association (NEA), Countryside Community Theatre, and the National Association of Lab Schools. He enjoyed gardening, education, Iowa football and North Scott High School Football.
Survivors include his wife, Lois, of Davenport, sons; Kevin (Libby Starling) Dutcher of St. Paul, Minnesota, David Lindaman of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Matthew (Tracy) Lindaman of Eldridge, Iowa, Brian Lindaman of Chico, California, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a brother; Warren Lindaman of Wellsburg, Iowa. He is also survived by Cindy Corwin, Greg Lindaman, Darla Nederhoff, Barb Curran and Dick and Rita Peltz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jack Lindaman.
Memorial may be directed to Genesis Hospice.
