Benjamin Alan Border, 39, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House surrounded by loved ones.

Born on June 20, 1985, in Davenport, Iowa, Ben was the beloved son of Bruce Border and Kimberly (Claussen) Border. He spent his career as a commercial painter, working for his brother at JD's Painting Services.

On September 12, 2015, Ben married Sarah Smith, and together they built a life rooted in love, family, and shared values. He was a proud and devoted father to Ariana Rinehart, Sabrina Rinehart, Octavia Smith, and Kyla Border his "butt nuggets" were his reason to dig deeper and make his days meaningful.

Ben had a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace in fishing and the thrill of the hunt, often spending time in nature with family and friends. A lifelong football fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Chicago Bears win or lose, he stayed loyal to "Da Bears."

Ben leaves behind his wife, Sarah; his mother, Kimberly Border; his children, Ariana, Sabrina, Octavia, and Kyla; his sister, Heidi (John) Conner; his brother, Joe (Marissa) Dyer; best friend Kyle (Jessica) Godfrey; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Border; his step-father, Larry Dyer; and his grandparents.

Those who knew Ben will remember his quiet strength, his sharp sense of humor, and his deep love for family, nature, and football. His spirit will live on in the memories, laughter, and stories of those who loved him.

A memorial service will be held June 21, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Credit Island Park Shelter #2 in Davenport, Iowa. Please bring a fishing pole and catch one for Ben.
