Clara Hinrichs-Reed Obituary
On July 9, 1977, Jane was united in marriage to David Reed at St. Ann's Church. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with two children, Robert Reed and Rebecca Schnek (Jacob). Jane cherished her role as a grandmother to Jesse and Montana, and later as a great-grandmother to Heaven and Alaric through Montana and Dakota Mickelson.
A devoted homemaker, Jane found joy in volunteering at her children's elementary school. She enjoyed playing cards, working on puzzles, reading, and watching game shows. In the 1990s, Jane and Dave moved to Montana where they created a new life for their family.
Jane lived with Muscular Dystrophy for over 20 years with strength and grace. Her journey was supported by the unwavering care of her loving husband Dave, her daughter Rebecca, her dedicated nurse of 15 years Mark, and many compassionate members of the local medical community.
She is survived by her husband, Dave; children, Robert Reed and Rebecca (Jacob) Schnek; grandchildren, Jesse and Montana; great-grandchildren, Heaven and Alaric; sister, Rosemary (Ray) Yoder of Clinton; brother, Raymond Hinrichs of Georgia; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Pam Frost, Ron Reed, Jeff Reed, and John Reed of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Orian and Carl Hinrichs; and brother-in-law, Jerome Reed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
