November 23, 1955 - November 16, 2025

Deborah L. Cochuyt, 69, of Coal Valley, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Davenport with visitation one hour prior to service at church. A burial at National Cemetery, Rock Island will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to Lutheran Services in Iowa or Rescued, Silvis, IL.

Deborah was born November 23, 1955 in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Martin and Estella (Baer) Carlson. She married Albert Cochuyt on September 24, 2016 in Davenport.

Deborah was Director of Philanthropy at Lutheran Services of Iowa. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Davenport for whom she made homemade cards. She was selfless and gave to those in need.

Deborah was the owner and operator of Deb's Hilltop Doodles. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts, celebrating the holidays, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Al; children, Ben (Lindsey), Bonnie (John), Joe, Scott (Emily), Amber (Brent), Brian (Ashley) and James (Becky); 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and sisters, Sandy (Jerry) Scott and Sharon (Mike) Jund. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice.
