BLUE GRASS-Diane Cecilia Hansen, 71, a resident of Blue Grass, died Monday, September 12, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2022 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Blue Grass. Burial will be at Blue Grass Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18th at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to Mass on Monday. Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
Diane was born September 6, 1951 in Camden, New Jersey, the daughter of Frank and Jean (Maisner) Ramowski. She married Raymond Corry July 17, 1971. They later divorced. Diane then married Steven Hansen September 14, 2006 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
In her early years, Diane was a member of the Pennsauken First Aid Squad and achieved Lieutenant status. She married Raymond Corry and moved to Iowa to raise her family. She then worked as an accounts specialist and pharmacy assistant at Trinity Hospital in Moline. Diane enjoyed visiting antique malls, sitting on the back porch watching dragonflies and hummingbirds, cross stitching, traveling, and sunflowers. She was an excellent interior decorator.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Steve; sons, Mike (Meggie) Corry of Davenport, Matt Corry of Urbandale, Iowa, and Mark Corry of Davenport; grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Nate, Kylie, Alexia, Quentin, Adrianna and Zachary; great-grandsons, Theorn and Myles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank "Sonny"; and sister, Patricia Knowles.
