Donna Montgomery

1947 - 2025

Donna Lee Montgomery, 77, of Sherrard, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Andalusia, Illinois, on November 25, 1947, Donna grew up in the Orion & Sherrard, Illinois area and went on to live in many places throughout her life, always embracing new adventures. In her early years, she worked as a hairstylist at Queen's Parlor, where she shared her creativity and warmth with her clients. She later pursued her dream of seeing the world, becoming a flight attendant for Delta Airlines - a career she loved and from which she retired in 2009.

Donna had a passion for beauty and discovery. She loved traveling, gardening, decorating, art and hunting for treasures in thrift shops and antique stores. With a keen eye for fabulous finds, she brought charm and character into every space she touched.

She is survived by her sister, Margie (Jeff) McFadyen; her brother, Butch (Pat) Kirkland; her children, Tracy (Michael) Gray, Julie (Jason) Montgomery, and Sara (Todd) Harris; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Shirley Kirkland.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date, where her loved ones will gather to honor and remember her vibrant spirit.
