WALCOTT-Geraldine Betty Reese, age 69, of Walcott, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 23rd, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Masks are required. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Walcott Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Walcott Volunteer Fire Department in her memory. Online condolences may be left at

Gerry was born on December 13, 1951, the daughter of Roman and Ruth (Marten) Kraft in Davenport, Iowa. She attended Davenport Central High School, graduating with the Class of 1970. She married Jeffrey Rees on August 24, 2013 in Walcott.

Gerry worked as a manager at the Pilot Travel Center, Walcott. She enjoyed camping and taking road trips on their Harley, especially to Door County, Wisconsin. She also enjoyed hanging out and spending time with her "Forever Friend Group". Most of all, Gerry cherished spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jeff Rees and their dog, Bella; her daughters, Lisa (William) Conway, Pleasant Valley, Iowa and their children, Sierra (Nolan) Herlocker, Alyssa (Alex) Osborn, Savannah and Garrett; Kayla (Thomas) Sweeney, Walcott, Iowa and their daughters, Amber and Lanie; and her son, Jason (Crystal) Reese, Blue Grass, Iowa and their sons, Conner and Roman; her brothers, Robert Kraft; Allen (Sally) Kraft; and her sister, Marilyn Bennett; her in-laws, Delbert and Sandra Rees, brother in-law Jim (Melinda) Rees; as well as many nieces, nephews and especially her first great grandbaby, William Herlocker.

Greeting her in Heaven are her parents, Roman and Ruth Kraft; her first husband, Robert Einfeldt, Jr.; and her brother, David Kraft.
