October 7, 1945-January 13, 2023

BETTENDORF-Irene S. Bahns, 77, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA, with family by her side.

Irene was born October 7, 1945, in LeClaire, IA, the daughter of Albert "Dick" and Eleanor Boege. At her request, there will be no service or visitation.

In addition to participating in euchre clubs together, Irene also enjoyed years of playing bridge with different groups. Irene worked at Davenport Machine for most of her career. She enjoyed her position as an estimator and the people she met along the way.

Besides her loving husband, Roger, Irene leaves behind her son, Brian Bahns, son and daughter-in-law, Scot and Laura Bahns, and her five grandchildren, Sidney, Annie, Emily, Nataly, and Shane. She also leaves behind her cat, Buddy, whom she adored.

My deepest sympathy to Roger and the families. I had known Irene since 7th grade when my parents owned the Maid Rite in LeClaire. She and her parents used to come in often. I remember that her parents loved to go ballroom dancing and became good friends with my mother. Irene was always so pretty and polite. I am so sad for your loss. In remembrance of Irene, enjoy your wonderful memories of her.
Kind Regards,
