Brant Lake- Jean Ann Southworth 81, died June 11, 2025, at Sunrise of Abington Assisted Living.
Born September 18, 1943 in Columbus OH, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Barber) Murdock.
Jean was a retired administrative assistant in finance and investments. Her and her late husband, Larry moved to Brant Lake over 30 years ago. Jean loved to quilt and sew, she was a great cook, she loved to read, she treasured her grandchildren, she loved gardening and her flowers, she loved shopping, traveling and walking on beaches. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Larry Southworth, 2 sisters Marsha Hammond, Patricia Bishop, and one brother Robert Murdock, II.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff (Claudia) Southworth, Steven (Heather) Southworth; one sister, Dorothy Cardinale; one brother, Tom Murdock; and six grandchildren David, Noah, Jason, Nolan, Abbigail, and Benjamin.
Funeral Services are 1:00 PM Saturday June 21, 2025 at Barton-McDermott Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Pine St. Chestertown, NY 12817. Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to services.
Interment will follow at Brant Lake Cemetery St. Rte, 8 Brant Lake, NY.
