Joan G. Wilcox, 83, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, November 19, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House – Bettendorf.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Joan Gail Voss was born on May 31, 1938, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Edna (Ipsen) Voss. She was a 1956 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Wayne A. Wilcox on September 21, 1963, in Clinton; he died November 30, 2008.
Joan was employed at Nielsen's for 17 ½ years. She was also employed at Iowa State Savings Bank and DuPont. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. She loved animals, especially her dogs, camping and fishing with her husband, and spending winters in Texas.
Joan is survived by her daughter: Julie (Chuck) Murray of Iowa City, Iowa, her grandson: Alexander Heim; her sisters: Ruth (Bob) Deverwaere of Paullina, Iowa, Ellen (Keith) Miller of Clinton, and Margaret (Steve) Archer of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son: Robert, and three brothers.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Clinton Humane Society.
