John Feeney Obituary

John Joseph Feeney

May 22, 1977 - March 18, 2024

John Joseph Feeney, also known as John, passed away peacefully at his home in Quincy, IL, on March 18, 2024. Born on May 22, 1977, in Davenport, IA, John's life was characterized by his unwavering dedication to family, sense of humor, and loving heart that touched all those around him.

John was the beloved son of Martin "Pat" Feeney and Suzan Bachelder. He began his spiritual journey at Our Lady of Victory in Davenport, serving as an altar boy and laying the foundation for a lifetime of faith.

Growing up in Davenport, John enjoyed adventures with the Boy Scouts of America, achieving Eagle Scout status, and traveling across the United States with his family. On May 31, 2001, he married Amanda Untiedt in Las Vegas, NV, and together they raised their son, Colin, who was John's pride and joy.

Professionally, John dedicated 23 years to Century Link as a network technician, showcasing his expertise and commitment. He was a dedicated father, always present to support Colin in his interests and travels.

John is survived by his wife, Amanda Feeney; his son, Colin Feeney; his mother, Suzan Feeney; brother, Bradley Feeney (Jonelle); faithful dog, Nog; and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin; his grandparents on both sides; and his parents-in-law, as well as numerous aunts and uncles. John will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

A visitation to celebrate John's life will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home in Quincy, IL, with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
