John Lee Frei
January 13, 1938 - May 8, 2024
John Lee Frei, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the age of 86.
Loving husband of high school sweetheart and wife of 63 years, Patti Frei; devoted father of Traci (Dan) Macke and Jeff (Roseanne) Frei; dear grandfather of Matthew (Kaylee) Macke, Michael (Emily Rose) Macke, Emily Macke, and Abbey (Nick) Shelton; great-grandfather of Maxton Macke, Makenna Macke, Maddox Macke, Malachi Macke, Eli Macke, Maci Macke, and Brooks Shelton; cherished brother of Jerry (Carol) Frei, Otto (Joyce) Frei, and Jim Frei. John was an uncle, cousin and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marian and Otto Frei.
John dedicated many years as a Key Account Manager at Procter and Gamble. In his free time, John enjoyed camaraderie on the golf course or spending time grilling. He had a quick wit and liked history, making him very good at trivia. John also enjoyed cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Above all, his greatest pleasure came from spending cherished moments with his family, never missing a sporting event and always being proud of all their accomplishments.
You could always count on John for a sarcastic remark or comeback. A life quote from John would be "Hit the ball on the fat part of the bat. That's what life's all about."
John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
