John A. Schmalz, 79, of Princeton, IA, passed away October 26, 2023. He was born May 23, 1944, in Davenport, to Wesley and Edith (Toft) Schmalz. John was known for his love of farming and bowling.
John is survived by his sister, Eleanor Barker of Eureka, MO; and sister-in-law, Grace Schmalz of Eldridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Cheryl Ann; and brother, Wesley Schmalz Jr.
A private memorial service will be held to honor John's life and legacy.
