Judith Ann Carter passed away from dementia on Tuesday October 26th, 2021 at Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Des Moines, IA. Judi was born November 19th 1936 to Clyde Edward Carter and Rubie V Lee in Ottumwa IA. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in Albert Lea , MN in 1955. Judi spent many years as a nanny, waitress, stay at home mother and retired from J.C. Penny's. She called many places home: IA, MN, AZ , CA, FL, CO, and MO before returning to IA. She was also an avid lover of dogs and cats.
She is survived by daughter Bonnie (Lyle) Leonard of Houston, TX, son Dan (Donna) Nicholson of Davenport, IA, son Terry Norby of Lexington, KY, son Todd (Donna) Carter of Waukee, IA, son Rick (Linda) Nicholson of Atlantic Beach, FL, son Devin Nicholson of Davenport, IA, and daughter Tara (Brian) Buttery of Johnston, IA. There are many grandchildren and great grandchildren to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, older brother Gary, infant daughter Darci, son Tim and daughter Tami. Private graveside service will be held at a later date.
