November 13, 1998 - August 7, 2024
Justin Michael Duex, 25, passed away Wednesday, Aug 7, 2024 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024 at Halligan-McCabe-Devries Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 -7:00 pm Friday Aug 23, 2024, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family. Cremation will take place after the services.
Justin was born on November 13, 1998 in Davenport. Son of Michael Duex and Jenny Devlin.
He was currently working at Mills Chevrolet in Davenport, Iowa, as a mechanic. He enjoyed his co-workers, working on cars and working in the pit. The people he worked with also at his previous jobs: Portillos, Pizza Ranch, Pilot and Casey's, became not only his friends but his family. Justin was loved by everyone who met him. He was kindhearted and always putting others before himself. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Justin loved all kinds of music especially the group From Ashes to New. He found joy in cars, scooters, action figures, drawing, and Xbox games. He also watched anime and Harry Potter. Above all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his family working on cars, fishing and riding motorcycles, watching movies and riding bicycles.
Those left to honor his memory include his parents, siblings Nicholas, Christopher and Samantha, grandparents Marc and Therese Devlin, Uncle and Aunt Jeff and Tania Duex, cousins Hunter, Nia, Brayden Duex and Great Aunt Vicky Ertel. Justin is also survived by a large extended family on the Devlin side. Justin has a very special close-knit group of friends to treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by his Uncle Brian Duex, Great Uncle Thomas Ertel, Great Uncle Tom Devlin, Great Aunt Mary Sturm. Grandparents Thomas and Carol Duex and Great grandmother Rita Ertel, Great grandmother Lois Thomas and Great grandparents Jack and Dorothy Devlin.
