Lois Ann Hansen
January 21, 1938-November 16, 2021
Lois was a logtime resident of Bettendrof and a founding member of Redeemer Lutheran Church
Lois Ann Hansen, 83, died Tuesday, November 16, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1938 as the fifth of six children. After graduating with a teaching degree, she married Jerry Hansen, who was her best friend for over 52 years until his passing in 2011. She had a quick wit and was often an instigator of practical jokes. Her thoughtfulness and deep affection for others, including strangers, knew almost no limits. Always one to provide a kind word, a hug, or a laugh, Lois was the ideal companion for any adventure or day spent sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee.
She is survived by her daughter Laura (Dave Reed) Hansen of Bellevue, NE; a son, Matt (Kristi) Hansen of Everett, WA; a sister, Donna (Wayne) Granneman of Davenport, IA; and four beloved grandchildren, Charlie Hansen-Reed, Jack Hansen-Reed, Madeline Hansen, and Christian Hansen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Hansen; parents, Frank and Dorothy Campbell, of Audubon, IA; siblings Richard Campbell, Doris Greer, Frances Fairchild & Howard Campbell.
Visitation is Friday, November 19, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel. Memorial Service will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 104 Galvin Road North, Bellevue at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20 followed by a Committal Service at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa.

Lois and Jerry were friends and a part of our breakfast group from Redeemer Lutheran for many years after we joined the church. She always had a smile and a kind word and we enjoyed spending those Sunday mornings with both she and Jerry. Our sympathy to your family, as we keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
