Mildred Lucille Badtram, age 93, formerly of Bennett, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Courtyard Estates of Walcott. A private service and interment will take place in Durant Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com

Mildred was born on January 28, 1927, the daughter of Harry and Alvena (Fick) LaMaack. She married Henry Badtram on June 1, 1949 in Davenport, Iowa. Mildred was a dedicated farm wife, who cherished taking care of her family and working on the family farm in rural Bennett. She enjoyed baking, gardening, canning, playing Bingo and cards, especially 500 and Euchre.

Mildred will be dearly missed by her sons, Gary (Patty) Badtram of Davenport, Iowa and Gene Badtram of Rio, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in December of 1971; and her son, Larry Badtram, in June of 2017.

Gary & Gene, Please accept our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your mom. She was such a special lady, and was so much fun to visit with. We enjoyed seeing her a couple times while she was in Walcott. We know she dearly loved you both. Mildred was one of the hardest working farm women we have ever known. We got to experience her wonderful cooking skills when Gene used to bring back food to Iowa State for us all to share. She will be missed by all who knew her. We are sending hugs and prayers.

Mildred was such a kind person. I had many conversations with her. She was a good friend to my Mom (Evelyn Kleppe) at Courtyard. She helped her in many ways as Mom is legally blind.
