Polly Fletcher (Wagner) Wright

Polly Fletcher (Wagner) Wright passed away peacefully at her home in Highwood, IL, on September 30, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Laurence (Larry) Sedgwick Wright Sr. She is survived by her four children: Laurence S. Wright Jr. (Courtney), Megan M. Winters (Patrick), Heather W. Milligan (Scott), and Meredith F. Wright; and four grandchildren: Briggs and Robert Wright and Clarissa and Charlotte Milligan.
Polly was born in Aurora, OH, in 1937, the only daughter of Hilda and Frederick Wagner. She attended Laurel Academy and went on to graduate from Mount Holyoke College in 1958 with a degree in English Literature. She moved to Davenport, IA, to teach English at St. Catherine St Marks school. She met Larry and they were married in 1960. Polly was a member of the altar guild, the PTA, she was room mom for all of her children over the various years of their schooling. She was a wonderful cook, a skilled gardener, a terrific tennis and golf player and an avid duplicate bridge player. She will be missed.
A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, IL, on Tuesday October 10, 2023.
