Robert "Bob" D. Hassel, 95 of Bettendorf passed away on February 8, 2021 at Bickford of Muscatine. A private funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Cunnick Collins Mortuary. Military Honors will follow. Private burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cunnick-collins.com

Bob was born on September 23, 1925 in Mount Pleasant, Iowa to Willard and Lennie (Blackmore) Hassel. Bob proudly served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Jeanne Shekleton in 1952. She preceded him in death on December 7, 1997. Bob worked for Reynolds and Reynolds Company in sales and accounting, retiring in 1985. He loved all sports, but his favorite past time was golf. As a younger man, he began his love for golf as a caddy at the golf course in Cedar Rapids Ellis Park. He was fascinated with all things finance.

Survivors include his sons, Dave (Debbie) Hassel of Port St. Lucie, FL and Don Hassel (Jamie Taube) of Muscatine, IA; grandchildren, Chris (Kristin) Hassel, Teddy (Charlene) Hassel, Jordan Hassel, Billy Hassel and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jeanne and one brother, Francis.
