ROCK ISLAND-Robert Edward "Rob" Ryner, 53, of Rock Island, Illinois passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at his residence.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Robert was born on October 29, 1967 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Edward J. "Jim" and Judith (Johnston) Ryner. He was a graduate of Davenport North High School. Robert currently worked as a crane operator for John Deere. He took great pride in his work.
Those left to honor his memory are his daughter, Meena Ryner and her mother Nacole, of Rock Island; mother, Judy Ryner and brother, Michael (Todd Young) Ryner all of Plano, Texas; aunts, Carol (Larry) Fells, Alice Eddy; his cherished dog Ginger, and several cousins.
Rob was a lifetime Chicago Bears fan and never missed a game. In his youth, Rob excelled as the pitcher of his little league baseball team.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents Lyle and Naomi (Laughlin) Johnston, and Edward and Rosie (Hicks) Ryner.
