Shelly Cox
November 16, 1959 - November 9, 2025
Shelly Cox, Born Nov. 16, 1959, didn't yet know her life was going to be one success after another.
She was a loving daughter to Kenneth and Evelyn Beckman, sister to her amazing older sisters, Bonnie and Barb, accompanied by two protective older brothers, Steve and Bill, she was also blessed with her very own twin sister, Sherry.
She relished her family and the Love it held and though life, as it does, had it's ups and downs she made time to stand by the census of love. When her sisters, Bonnie Bowser, Barb Wignall, and sister-in-law Terri Beckman, faced the losses of their husbands, Mike Bowser, Russ Wignall, and Steve Beckman, she compassionately, without hesitation, stood by them comforting and caring for them.
Her generous and compassionate heart easily made some of the best friends the world could ever offer.
Her greatest success in life was bringing forth her three beloved children: Cassie, Kyle, and Brian- raising them to be the most loving and beautiful people and also acquired a bonus daughter, Tasha Albracht. Having established the most beautiful and loving family any soul this side of heaven could, she then became a Nana to her three miracles and greatest joy in life, our grand-babies, Granger, Zach, and Ahavah.
Cassie, was the first to bless us with our new son, Anthony Barron - the best father for our grandkids we could ever dream of.
Brian, Shelly's baby boy, who has grown into one of the best men I know, gave Shelly and I another beautiful daughter, Kyrstin, the mother to our newest miracle, Ahavah.
When most people would just sit back content and enjoy what they had, she was only getting started. My wife, with every good, gentle, and caring fiber of her being, took hold of my life, which I realized had been cold and empty. With a smile and a whispered "I love you," I became ten times the man I was, but still not half the man Shelly deserved. Once again, she became a mother to my two children Cody Cox and Zachary Marinan.
After 14 short but rich years together, her children and I, held Shelly's hand as she walked into the arms of Jesus.
There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at The Runge Mortuary & Crematory. Memorials in her name may be made to the Kings Harvest No Kill Animal Shelter Davenport. Please share condolences with the family at
