Shirley Wright

1941 - 2025

Shirley Marjetta (Stewart) Wright age 84 passed away December 2, 2025. Shirley was born March 26, 1941, in Hanover Arkansas to Walter and Mary Stewart. She was one of 15 children. She moved from Mountain View Arkansas to Moline, IL where she met and fell in love with Daryl O. Wright they married May 31,1963. Shirley was a homemaker by trade and raised not only her children but took care of any child that came into her life and took them in as they were her own. Shirley was a great cook, and all the grandkids love her pineapple upside down cake. She loved to garden and canned the fruits of her labor. She later worked at the Kitchen and Sharon's restaurant where she waitressed and cooked. She and Daryl later moved back to Mt.View he said was taking her home.

She was preceded by Daryl O. Wright, parents Walter and Mary Stewart, great-granddaughter, Lily T. Karstens, parents Walter and Mary Stewart, mother and father in-law Fay and Ray Hemphill, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, 7 sisters, 5 brothers, cousins and great friends.

Celebration of life for Shirley and Daryl will be at a later date in the Quad Cities.
