Timothy E. Kerr
November 3, 1957 - August 25, 2023
Timothy E. Kerr, affectionately known as "Tinker," age 65, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023. He was born November 3, 1957 in Moline IL to Karen (Jorgesen) and Elton Kerr. He was a 1976 graduate of Moline High School where he played varsity football. He was a lifelong supporter of Moline High School athletics. He was a carpet installer, owned a flooring business, and was a man of many talents.
His passion was found in the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish. His heaven on earth was being in the woods. He enjoyed fellowship with his hunting buddies and loved hunting deer, turkey, and most of all mushrooms. Tinker was a gifted chef and had mastered "farm to table" cuisine. He loved music, his country, fireworks on the 4th of July, and spending time with friends and family. His legendary Brandy Sweet Old Fashions were shared over stories of weather, politics, cooking and his latest hunting adventures.
Tims greatest joy was his family and he was a proud father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, most notably his girlfriend Beth McColl and his children, Jennifer (Douglas) Pacaccio, Travis (Meghan) Kerr and Tayler (Aaron McLaughlin) Kerr who were the center of his universe. His pride and joy was being "Grampy" to his beloved granddaughters Presley, Hudsynn, Vera Lynn and Josie. The bond he shared with his many friends and his siblings, Denise, Tamra (Mark), Louis, Kathleen, Stefanie, and his Uncle Bruce (Shelly) was truly special. He is survived by his Mom and stepfather Karen and Mike Reynolds, his uncles Bill (Robin) and Brian (Pat), the mother of his children DeAnn, many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Tim taught us the importance of family, the joy of laughter and shared meals, and the solace and simplicity found in the beauty of nature. Tim may have left this world, but his spirit lives on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him.
