Vincent R.A. Louw, 77, of Davenport, IA, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center following a medical emergency. Cremation rites will be accorded with a private family burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Buffalo, Iowa. Online tributes and condolences may be made at www.the rungemortuary.com
Vincent was born on November 23, 1945 in Bulawayo, Rhodesia. He moved to Davenport with his parents and sister in 1962. He married Barbara J. Bald on January 22, 1965. They spent 54 adventurous years together.
Vincent enlisted into the Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War, he was proud to have served his country. He went on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1973.Vincent loved the outdoors, he was a deer hunter, fisherman, and, gardener.
In his retirement he spent much of his time camping and fishing in Wisconsin. He also was an avid reader, his family struggled to find books he didn't already own.
Vincent will be dearly missed by his children, Teresa Louw, Davenport, IA, Mark (Jen) Louw, Des Moines, IA and Michelle (John) Guile of Davenport, IA ; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and his sister, Shirley Louw of FL.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara; parents, Tom and Maureen Louw, and his son Michael Louw.

I am so sorry to see the passing of both. I very much enjoyed seeing them at HyVee West Locust. They were a great pleasure to see and ring up.
