DANIEL LEE GUERARD January 10, 1959 January 24, 2023 Daniel L. Guerard 64, of Birchdale, Minnesota, died January 24, 2023. He was born on January 10, 1959, in Austin, MN, the son of Lyle and Norena (Johnson) Guerard. He graduated from Shattuck in 1977 and was on the 1975 State Curling Champion Team. He also golfed, bowled, played hockey and softball, and was on the Crack Squad/Drill Team. In the 1980's Daniel worked as a stage tech for many rock bands. He was united in marriage to Marie Martin. This union was blessed with a son and a daughter. The family made their home in International Falls where Daniel worked at the paper mill. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Marie. Daniel is survived by his children, Lyle R. M. Guerard and Josephine (Ronnie) Alger; grandchildren, Dante and Phoebe Alger; parents, Lyle and Norena Guerard; brother, Perry (Lisa) Guerard of Florida; sisters, Teresa Guerard (Kurt Hostetter) of Florida, Shelley Schaak (Roddy Opesich) of Minnesota, Bibiana Guerard (Danny Esteves) of Arizona; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 3-6:00 pm at the Green-Larsen Mortuary in International Falls.
