Marvin Gene Munt

MARVIN GENE MUNT Marvin Gene Munt died on January 14, 2025, at the Littlefork Care Center. He was born on August 17, 1947, in Watkins, MN, the son of Herman and Violia (Zimmerman) Munt. On January 17, 1975, he was united in marriage to Joan Spandl in Browerville, Minnesota. Marvin worked for the International Falls Daily Journal and Northstar Publishing as a software designer. He loved fishing in the Big Fork River and driving his John Deere tractors. Marvin could fix anything and enjoyed taking daily walks. Most of all Marvin loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, David, and Benjamin; sisters, Joyce Weicht, Lois Caskey, and Alice Combes; twin sister, Mavis Winings; and niece, Cindy Weicht. Marvin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan; sons, Joel of Rush City, Jason of International Falls, and Daniel of Washington, MO; daughters, Jaime of Puposky and Donna of Puposky; three grandchildren, Joanie, Marvin, and Mathew; brothers, Fred (Sandy) and Duane (Pam); sister Phyllis (Don) Fraley; and many nieces and nephews.
