Lynn Clark Obituary

Lynn Clark passed away September 1, 2012. She was born on December 6, 1939, in Portland, Oregon, and raised in Tasmania, Australia, until the age of 10. The family moved to La Jolla where Lynn attended La Jolla High School graduating class of 1958.
Her mother, Irene Isham Clark, taught ballet for 35 years and her father, Geoffery Clark, was a captain for the Scripps Institute of Oceanography for 25 years.
During the 60s, Lynn spent several years in the food service and restaurant industry and even owned her own catering business in the Los Angeles area. While she was there, Lynn also helped to open one of the first Bed & Breakfasts, "Haven on Harper."
In 1991 Lynn returned to San Diego to work in home health care, which she continued until 2012. Lynn was a devoted and loving grandmother and an adoring friend to many.
She is survived by sons, Michael of San Diego and William of Kona, HI; brother, William of Washington; sister, Penelope of Connecticut; and her five grandchildren, Kai, Chad, Ellie of Hawaii, and Nicole and Noah of San Diego.
There will be a private memorial held at Pernicano's restaurant in Pacific Beach on Friday, September 28, 2012, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

Lynn was two years behind me at La Jolla High, but often mixed with our 1955 group. She was always cheerful and happy and friendly. Her brother Billy Clark was in our class and also mixed with our group. Wally Robertson

I think I first met Lynn at 6th grade camp having attended a different grammar school up where UCSD is now. Then when I began the 7th grade at LJHS re-met her. There was no such thing as a boring conversation with Lynn. She was energetic, funny, fun, sweet and kind and unpredictable. A few years ago she joined Joe Ortega, me, my daughter Angela and her husband Bruce Geier at Country Friends "Day at the Races" We had a ball. I am now especially glad I have that fun filled day as my last memory of Lynn. Farewell, Mendy

She was a very special person, warm, loving and full of energy. We'll miss her presence at Wind'n sea reunions. We've been remembering back to living around the corner from each other when the boys were babies--so many years ago--- fondly, Bob and denise Burns

I think I knew Lynn. If Penny is her sister, I'd appreciate being reconnected. God bless her family.
