Annette Hudson Obituary

SAN MANUEL, Ariz. - Annette Marie Hudson, 66, San Manuel, Arizona, died Monday, December 5th, at 4:10 p.m. of a brain aneurysm. Annette was born January 31, 1939, in Deadwood, SD, to Walter and Leota Marsh. She was raised in Terraville and attended Lead High School. Her family moved to San Manuel, AZ, in 1959, where she soon met her husband, Robert Hudson, who had recently moved from Deadwood, SD, where he was raised. They were married on July 29, 1956. Annette was a devoted and loving wife and mother who invested herself in her home and family. They were everything to her. She was very creative and talented and freely shared these gifts with her family and friends. She was a member of San Manuel Presbyterian Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, as well as a Girl Scout leader. Annette had a great love of nature and animals. She was blessed in her life by several dogs, cats and three black pet ducks. Family and friends will always remember Annette as a warm, loving and caring woman who loved deeply and without reservation. She placed great value on everyone whose life she touched. Her faith in Jesus brought her strength and sustained her. Annette will be greatly missed by her husband, Robert, of San Manuel, AZ, her daughter, Debbie Jones and son, Paul Hudson, both from Tucson, AZ, her daughter, Kathy Sorensen and her husband Jim Sorensen of Scottsdale, AZ, deeply loved by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary of Tucson, AZ. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Beverly Marsh and her brother Larry Marsh. A celebration of her life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Sturgis, SD, on Friday, December 9th, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jane Ireland officiating. There will be a reception following the services at the church. A memorial service will be held in Arizona after the first of the year. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Twin Cities Animal Shelter, 722 E. Main, Lead, SD.

I met Annette at the VA hospital while Bob was a patient.I work as an aide at the hospital. She was a very nice person, and caring person.I was working the night she got sick.I couldn,t believe what has happen. We both have the gray hair and the blue eyes. She made a comment one night about my pretty blue eyes.I gave them ice cream for the evening snacks instead of the jello. Ask Bob if he remembers that. God bless your family. Janice
