Arlys Froehlich Obituary

Arlys Froehlich RAPID CITY - Arlys Froehlich, 70, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side. Arlys Norain Meyer was born May 30, 1936, in Elgin, North Dakota, the daughter of Otto and Christine (Sippert) Meyer. On November 25, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert J Froehlich. Arlys was a devoted stay at home Wife and Mother while her family was young. She later touched many young lives while working at the Douglas School System. In 1976 she opened 2nd Time Around Consignment Shop, where she enjoyed the many people she met through the years. This was her 7th year living with Ovarian Cancer. She never allowed the cancer to define her life. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed life to the end. She will be greatly missed by all she touched. She is survived by her husband of 52-1/2 years Bob Froehlich; two daughters; Roberta (Larry) Hamlet and Raven (Scott) Haberstroh, all of Rapid City; four grandchildren: Larryka Hamlet, Emmie Hamlet, Robert McCreery and Kenda Haberstroh, all of Rapid City and one great-granddaughter, Caitlin Paige Murray, Rapid City. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Robin Jo, four brothers Arnold, Bernard, Curtis, Ronald and one sister Delorez. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Tkach officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Hills. Friends may sign her online guest register and leave condolence wishes at www.osheimcatron.com.

Bob and Family: Just returned from visiting my 87 and 89 year old parents in Ohio, and heard about Arlys' passing. When we last saw her at your store it sounded as tho she had already made her decision... Will always treasure the time we had together.
