SUMMERSET - Dennis G. Johnson, 74, died on June 8, 2022.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at Kirk Funeral Home. Visitation one-hour prior. Burial at Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis.

Julie and family; please accept the condolences of the Troopers of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment's veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. Dennis was one of us, one of our own. He served honorably with the Legendary Blackhorse Regiment in both the Howitzer Battery and I Troop of the 3rd Squadron in 1968 and 1969. As a Life Member of the 11th ACVVC, his name will be published in our quarterly newsletter and solemn blessed at our annual memorial service, this year in Birmingham. He will be listed along with the other brave men who served with the regiment on the roll of our honored dead. As grateful Americans, we should all pause and salute a man who was willing to place his life on the line for his country, his family and his fellow man. We are pleased that he will be " buried with soldiers' at the Black Hills National Cemetery; a true honor he earned and is well deserved. Chaplain Bill Karabinos, 11th ACVVC
