Reginald Mentele
MITCHELL - Reginald "Reg" Edward Mentele, 78, was born on November 8, 1945, to Edward and Frances Mentele. Reg was one of seven children born to the couple. He grew up in Mitchell, graduating from Notre Dame Academy in 1963.
Reg passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024 at his home in Mitchell, SD under the care of his loving family and hospice team. Reg will be remembered for his strong business mind, and endearing personality. He loved 60's and 70's music and Nascar. Reg's quick wit and wonderful sense of humor contributed to his gift of storytelling and ability to make people laugh. Reg was happiest when with friends and family, telling stories and reminiscing of days gone by.
Reg is survived by his wife, Suzan; son, Tim (Anna) Mentele, and granddaughter, Amelia of Sioux Falls; son, Andy (Kyra) Mentele, and grandchildren, Luke, Brady, and Natalie of Mitchell; siblings, Jeanne Ledbetter, Plano TX, Dixie Rivers, Box Elder, SD, Steve Mentele (Mary Allison); children, Elizabeth and Alex of Rapid City; and Laurie Mentele of Novato, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, and all of his coffee buddies.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kae Box; and brother, Rick Mentele.
