Dick & I were friends all the way from 3rd grade at Cleghorn School! I lost track of him a few yeas ago. I'm disappointed to find out he had been close enough for me to see him & I didn't get the chance. He was a good friend!

Dick was an Eagle Scout with Troop 4 in Rapid City. He was my Senior Patrol Leader and a mentor to me and my contemporaries. Dick was a member of the 1st group of boys that hiked the Bighorn Mountains with a group of boys from Troup 4. He and I also canoed the lakes of MN and Canada together on the Sommers Canoe Trials adventure. I have some photos from these trips that I would be happy to share with family and friends.
Like many of us boys, Dick benefited from the Leadership of our Scout Master, Verne Barnett.
He was one of the "GOOD GUYS".
