Ron Beebe
RAPID CITY - Ron Beebe, aka The Beeb, died of a heart attack on May 26, 2024. Ron was an interesting and multi-talented individual. He graduated from Stevens in 1976.
His resume reads like a renaissance man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing Polo, skiing the Alps, parachuting, climbing and repelling mountains, training and riding wild horses.
He loved being involved with Black Hills Community Theatre using his talents to sing and act. You can find his name in the credits of "Dances With Wolves."
His greatest joy was when he was with his sons. Ron and Nan Medauer married in 1988, had sons Ben (Janelle) and Blake (Andrea) Beebe. Even though Ron and Nan parted ways, Nana made sure that Ron's parents, Carlyle and Betty Beebe, sisters Carlene Beebe Quist and Joyce Beebe had strong bonds with Ben and Blake and his cherished grandchildren, Parker, Everly and Romi.
Ron had a life-altering accident in 1994. All the things he had enjoyed, he was not physically or mentally able to do. This was when Ron engaged his unyielding spirit and began to rehabilitate. Eventually started gardening and sharing and caring for other people. We will miss his big "Beeb" personality.
A Joyful service remembering Ron's life will be June 15, 2024 10:00 a.m. at Westgate Church, 414 S. Canyon Road, Rapid City.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Ron's church in his honor will go to a worthy cause.

I was fortunate to have known Ron in the mid 70s as a guest of his cousin. He went out of his way to always make me feel not as a guest but as family. We shared a sense of adventure and he shared stories of his father's lodge in the Yukon which I ended up purchasing from Carlyle in 1979. Keep climbing, sky diving, flying ultralights and welcoming people into your new home.
You're not forgotten. Thank you always for your smile.

Ron was one of the first people I met in Rapid back in 1992. I got to know him far more over the years. He was an absolutely amazing person! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I'm so sorry to hear if Ron's passing. He was a great friend. I knew him the many years being involved with BH Polo Club. Years after I connected with him while I was working at EAFB. He always had a kind word and smile for everyone. He will be missed. My prayers go out to him and his family.
