Vernon Bump

SIOUX FALLS | Vernon Bump, 83, of Sioux Falls formerly of Pierre died on Thursday, November 18th at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28th from 5:00-7:00pm at Isburg Funeral Chapel with a 7:00pm prayer service. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29th at Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre at 11:00am with burial the following day Tuesday, November 30th at 11:00am(mst) at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City. The family wishes to invite friends to join them for a reception following the graveside committal services in Rapid City at the Bump Lounge in the Surbeck Center on the campus of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Vern was a high school class mate and a fellow classmate at SDSM&T . He did so much in high school and college and after graduation. I was proud to be a friend and will miss him.

I went to grade school through high school with Vernon. He was a lifelong friend. My sympathy goes to Gloria and their family.

Vernon was such a nice man. I enjoyed knowing him when I worked at the SDDOT, RC Region Office. Sincere sympathy to his family.
