Gloria Gandara was a classmate of mine. I recall the first time I met Donna. I was probably in the 8th grade. She was with Gloria downtown, and she was a very friendly person. I then reconnected when I returned to Hamilton after I retired. For a while, we would see her and Delores after coffee after mass. I remember asking Gloria how she was, and I can recall her telling me Donna was mowing the lawn with her riding lawn mower. I just found her to be the most fascinating individual I had met. She always seemed upbeat. I would have never believed she was over 100 because she was as sharp as a tack.

I went to school with one of Donna´s daughters. One of my very fond memories was enjoying Donna´s homemade tortillas. It didn´t matter what time of day you visited, she fixed a mouth watering tortilla stuffed with refried beans. Other memories were Donna bent over weeding the huge garden. She will be very much missed.
I love the family.
