Fred E. Murry
DARBY – Fred E. Murry, 83, passed away on May 22, 2022, due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. He was born January 8, 1939, in Hot Springs, AR, the son of Fredrick David Murry and Gladis Opal Estell.
During his early childhood, his family relocated to Southern California. While in California, Fred started his own roofing company and worked many years on building his company. Fred enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved his Harley Davidson. This love eventually brought him to meeting his future wife, Clara Jo Addy. Fred and Clara went on to raise 4 beautiful daughters and moved to Montana, in 1979.
Fred loved living in Montana and enjoyed building a second career in the real estate industry, owning his own company for many years, Hamilton Realty. In 2003, Fred married the love of his life, Sheela Murry. They enjoyed yearly trips to Arizona, riding horses and enjoying life at their beautiful homestead, where he built and roofed himself. Fred enjoyed many outdoor activities including hiking, fishing and hunting. He also loved golfing with his buddies at the Hamilton Golf Club where he was a member for many years and loved attending classic car shows. When relaxing at home you often could find Fred watching old westerns and Shark Tank. After years of wanting a classic car, Fred purchased a 1961 Pontiac Ventura Bubbletop which he enjoyed for many years.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Surviving in addition to his wife, Sheela are his daughters, Yvonne (Art) Andreasen, Hamilton, MT; Marla Bistline, Sandpoint, ID; Janet Gratton, Hamilton, MT, and Sandra Murry, Yuma, AZ; stepdaughter, Sarah Eastlund (Chadney), Missoula, MT; stepson, Sam Eastlund, Boise, ID; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
At Fred's request, no services will take place. A private celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
Among many other unmentioned wonderful attributes and amazing qualities that could describe a one-of-a-kind guy, like Fred, was his love for reading long obituaries and learning about a person's life history.
