Michael Raymond Brown
DARBY - Michael Raymond Brown passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on October 11, 1941, in Sebastopol, California to Frank and Alice (Orr) Brown.
Mike was a skilled carpenter who spent much of his career in construction, building a strong foundation not only for the structures he created but also for the family and friends who surrounded him. In 1975, Mike relocated with his family to Stevensville, Montana, where he would foster his love for the great outdoors. After returning to the Sacramento area in 1985, he continued to make an impact through his work and hobbies. In 2007, he and his beloved wife, Joan, retired to Darby, Montana, where they spent their golden years surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of their community. His passions were God, family, bowling, hunting, fishing, and baseball (in that order). The legacy he leaves behind will not be forgotten, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joan Brown, of Darby, MT; daughters, Julie Ann Brown, of Darby, MT, and Michelle Nerlin, of Fremont, CA; son, Chrisopher Brown, of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren: Jonathan Nerlin, Aspen Nerlin, Tyler Brown, and Kennedy Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice Brown.
A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com
