Nichole Jeane Van Antwerp Perkins
Nichole Jeane Van Antwerp Perkins, born August 24, 1976 in Glendale, CA, died in Hamilton, MT, May 26, 2022.
With tears, great sadness and grieving hearts, we share with you that our loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend was suddenly lifted from our earthly embrace into the perfect loving embrace of Jesus. Though our hearts don't understand and we continue to grieve, we lean heavily on our Lord's promises of perfect peace, perfect comfort and a joyful and eternal life together one day. We will always miss and keep you in our hearts, sweet girl, until we are together again.
Niki's children would each like to say something for their mother.
Katelyn: "My mom is a loss that can't be filled. She was the person I talked to every day, the person I confided in, and the person willing to listen to any minute and uninteresting thing I had to say. She was always there and available and I feel that loss every time I have a thought or a question and reach for my phone to tell her. But now all I want to say is, 'Mama, I love you'".
Kyle: "My mom was the best mom anyone could ever ask for. She has impacted my life in so many ways, and I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for her helping and guiding me through each stage of my life as trials and difficulties surfaced. The amount of love she had for me, my family and anyone she came into contact with had no bounds. She had such a selfless, loving and sacrificial heart for people, and so many are going to miss that beautiful heart of hers."
Krysten: "She wasn't just my mom. She became a mom to so many people in the community. She was always there for me, even if I didn't want her to be. She never let me feel alone, and she was always so supportive. I will miss her voice, her laugh, her hugs, her homemade meals. I would not have been able to get through as much as I have without her. She's part of who I am and will always be with me."

I remember Nikki well from class. She had a passion for her work as a nurse. What I remember most is how hard Nikki worked, she was determined to be a nurse. She had the heart of caring for others and wanted to take that to those who most needed care in her community. Nikki make lots of sacrifice in her time as a student with MSU, she had long drives, long study nights and long days of lecture. Through it all, I can say, she smiled. Thank you Nikki for being such a wonderful role model for your peers and faculty. We will miss you.

Nikki,
I couldnt have asked for a better friend to navigate the scary world that is becoming a public health nurse in the middle of the pandemic! I will always look back on my first job as an RN and rember consuming so much chia tea and gluten free cookies. And our daily walks during lunch were we would laugh, and vent about how hard the nursing world is and how much we hated studying for the NCLEX. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to develop such an amazing friendship with you. Thank you for always being someone I could lean on and encouraging me when things got tough. You are a beautiful soul and I miss you so much! Much love,
Rachel

My deepest condolences to your family. The loss of Nichole is overwhelming, huge! A heartbreaking loss. She was a bright light, a star! She was an a phenomenal nurse, friend, peer, prayer warrior. She constantly talked about her kids and grandbabies...She is/was SO, SO, SO proud of you Kyle, Katelyn and Krysten. I am heartbroken at this great loss of a sweet friend who cared more about other people than she did herself. I am happy you have no more sorrow or pain Nichole. You are with Jesus now rejoicing. I take great comfort in knowing that. Love you my friend, until we meet again!! -Kirsten

Niki is missed greatly! She was so kind and loving. I miss her heart, her smile and laugh and her voice. I always loved to be near her in church so I could hear her sing as she worshipped our Lord! I know I will see her again and I will stand close to her again as we worship before the throne to our Lord. Until then, my prayers are for comfort and peace for the family.

Niki, was loved by all who knew her. It was such a joy as we enjoyed our fellowship around the love of Christ with her. She was a great source of comfort during my personal time of loss with her kindness and comfort. Though, it is our loss it is her gain as she is beholding things that haven't even entered our hearts. Our prayer here at BVCC is that God's presence and peace will be ever present for her family during this time of loss of Niki.

We miss you so much and feel your loss so keenly. I am so grateful for this opportunity to share my thoughts. You were such a beautiful soul. Always patient. And though you began so nervous in your practice, you blossomed in to this confident, kind, compassionate nurse, I knew you would be. I personally miss your smile and your laugh. I enjoyed working together and I am so sad for all the collaborations we will not have together moving forward. Thank you for coming to our aid during the pandemic. Your knowledge and organization were a game changer for us at Public Health. Another true, Public Health Hero! Be at peace. We will sort the rest.
