Jerry Collier Obituary

He came from Vandalia, and was always proud of it.
Jerry Collier, son of the late Claude Collier, of Vandalia, and Doris Schulze, of Springfield, Mo., died September 29, 2016 in Springfield, Mo. of complications of heart disease and diabetes.
Jerry was a graduate of Van-Far High School and Central Methodist University (BA '64). During a long career of dedication and service, he was a St. Louis high school chemistry teacher, and later a 35-year employee of the Mercy Health Care System, where he was a laboratory supervisor of the Mercy Hospital department of nuclear medicine and senior statistical analyst.
He leaves many saddened friends and relatives: his wife Barbara; mother Doris Schulze; sister Claudette Sheets; aunts Mary Shotwell and Yvonne Daniel; sons Morgan (Anita) and Ryan; and grandchildren Matthew and Sophia.
He will be interred at Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Mo.

My sincere condolences. I believe this may be the Jerry Collier with whom I I corresponded as a pen pal back in the fifties, who lived at 208 East Walsh, Vandalia. Happy days.

So sorry if thus is mistaken identity, but I do still have the ketters and photos from that time so I am saddened.

Best wishes
